Junior Team Tennis Fall 2026
Junior Team Tennis (JTT) is a USTA program focused on developing junior players’ skills utilizing clinics, practice matches & recorded matches in a team format, all while having fun!
Why join JTT? Many players think tennis is an individual sport or a team sport & miss the idea of playing on a team. JTT brings together junior players in a team environment based on players' age, ball color, and skill level. Teams must have at least 4 players of all boys, all girls, or a mix. 18U Intermediate teams MUST have a female player. Players receive coach-led clinics in singles & doubles, play practice matches, and compete against other JTT teams, with results recorded in USTA & UTR. At the end of the season, teams with the most wins will qualify to compete at the USTA Texas JTT Sectional Tournament in New Braunfels, Texas, on December 5th-6th!
How much experience does a player need to join JTT? Tournament experience is not required; all JTT players must know how to serve, keep score, maintain a rally, & change sides. Most JTT players have taken lessons, attended clinics, played tournaments, or played at school. If you do not have any prior experience, that’s OK! JTT is a great opportunity to develop as a player & gain match experience.
How do I join a team? ALL players must register on TennisLink. Teams are formed by:
1) New Teams: Grab your friends & create a new team!
2) Register and Meet New Friends: Players who register for JTT may be able to join an existing team looking for more teammates, or we can create a whole new team!
3) Existing Teams: Coaches will have their players register and submit their roster to Laura.
4) Travel Team: Depending on registration, a team may be formed based on the results of challenge matches.
How much does JTT cost? The total fee is $156.83 ($145.00 local fee + $11.83 USTA fee), which covers the cost of local competition, coach-led clinics, equipment, a team shirt, a USTA player gift (if you register before September 28th), sectionals fees, awards, travel & coach assistance at sectionals (depending on availability).
