Policies and Procedures

 Closures - BTC staff reserves the right to close early due to inclement weather and/or non-use or lack of reservations.

Registration – Registration for clinics and leagues at Bush Tennis Center can be done through our Bush Tennis Center app (please see BTC app tab), by logging on to your BTC account at btc.clubautomation.com, or over the phone at (432) 620-8180.  Class fee must be paid in full before the first day of the session.

Inclement Weather and Makeups – Any cancellations due to bad weather will be announced via Facebook (Bush Tennis Center), via app notification and/or via SMS notifications. You may call the pro shop also if you are unsure if your class will be meeting. A credit will be placed on your account only if we cancel a class due to inclement weather.

Membership Cancellations - Membership cancellation requests must be made by the 1st of the month to not incur that month’s charge.

Holidays – Classes generally do not meet on legal holidays and school holidays. We follow the MISD academic calendar. To be sure about your class schedule, please check with the front desk and our Facebook page.

Ball Hoppers and Ball Baskets – we do not provide ball hoppers or ball baskets and may not be used unless approved by a Tennis Director. You may bring your own.

Private lesson cancellations – You must cancel your private lesson 24 hours prior to your private lesson by notifying your instructor or you will be charged a No-Show fee for the full amount the lesson was booked.

Padel Policies:

·       Peak Hours and Rules:

o   Monday – Friday 5:30pm to 10:00pm with a 90-minute reservation of 5:30-7:00pm, 7:00pm-8:30pm, or 8:30-10:00pm

o   Saturday & Sunday 8:00am to 11:00pm with a 90-minute reservation of 8-9:30am or 9:30-11am

o   The Peak Hour Fee will be $8 for Members and $20 for Nonmembers

o   There must be 4 paid players on each court, otherwise the Host Player will be charged for EACH player who has not checked in & paid at the front desk

o   Cancellation must be 12 hours prior to your court reservation, or there will be a $30 no-show fee to the host

Court Reservations:

o   Reservations can be made on the BTC app 7 days in advance for Members & the App has a feature to add other players

o   Make sure to cancel your reservation 12 hours prior to your reservation or the host of the court will incur a $30 no-show fee

o   All Nonmembers will be charged the $15 guest fee during non-peak hours and $20 during peak hours

Lessons:

o   We offer lessons for all sports:  tennis, pickleball & padel – if interested, please fill out the “Interested in Lessons” form below or give us a call at 432-620-8180 for more information

o   All scheduling & cancellations are made directly with your coach

o   Cancellations must be made 24 hours prior to your lesson, or there will be a no-show fee equivalent to your lesson rate

Clinics:

o   Please register on the App or contact the Pro Shop prior to start time so we can staff accordingly

Open Play:

o   Free to Members/$15 guest fee for Nonmembers

Regulations:

  • Bush Tennis Center is open to the public. Court reservations are available unless reserved for a private event. There is a $15 per person guest fee. Affordable memberships are available.

  • Parents are solely responsible for their children’s safety. Children under 12 must be accompanied at all times by a parent or guardian, unless they are involved in a supervised program.

  • Members or guests are not permitted to bring an instructor from outside of BTC for instruction purposes. Only BTC staff may conduct personal training or instruction.

  • Glass containers are prohibited inside the facility & parking lot. Please help keep the center clean and use the trash containers located around the facility.

  • The sale, possession, distribution, or use of any illegal substance on BTC property, including CDOP and parking lot, is prohibited and will constitute grounds for immediate termination and possible prosecution.

  • Chewing gum is prohibited inside the facility.

  • Smoking & vaping are prohibited at BTC and CDOP.

  • Your furry friends are welcome but must be on a leash at all times & waste removed. There are bags in the office.

  • Inappropriate attire is prohibited. Men must wear shirts at all times.

  • No game other than tennis, padel and pickleball is to be played on the courts.

  • Utilizing the center, parking lot or CDOP for personal profit is prohibited with exception of approved contractual agreement between BTC and private party.

  • Excessive noise, racquet throwing, and profanity are strictly forbidden.

  • Persons/spectators not playing tennis are to remain outside the court fence for their own protection and liability reasons.

  • BTC is not responsible for items lost or stolen in the facility or from your vehicle while on the premises. There is a lost and found located in the pro shop.

Discounts – Members receive a reduced price for clinics/leagues/camps and 20% off tennis racquets, 10% off Padel & pickleball paddles, and 10% of all Adidas shoes and apparel in our pro shop.

Do I have to be a member to use the courts?

We are a membership-driven facility, but open to the public at the rate of $15 per person.

Do I need to make a reservation for a court?

A reservation is not necessary, but recommended. Courts fill up quickly during certain times of the year/day. To guarantee a court, it is best to make a reservation either on our app or by calling the pro shop. Members can reserve a court up to 7 days in advance. Non-members can only make a reservation the day of.

What happens if there is inclement weather during a clinic or league?

If we have to cancel a class due to inclement weather and you have already paid for the class, a credit will be issued to your account if you did not get to participate at least 70% of class time. There will not be a credit for No-Shows.

Does BTC have ball machines to rent?

Yes, we currently have one tennis ball machine. We have a one-time fee of $15. Members can add the ball machine to their membership annually for $250 or monthly for $25. Nonmembers will still have to pay the $15 guest fee on top of the ball machine add on fee of $15. We do not currently have a pickleball machine.

Can I get my racquet strung at BTC? And how long does it take to get it done?

Yes, you can! We have several racquet technicians and a stringing machine in our Pro Shop where we will string your racquet and make repairs, such as grommet replacement and grip build ups.  The cost for stringing is $25 per racquet.  You may bring your own string or purchase string from our Pro Shop.  Our turnaround is typically between 36 and 48 hours.
